Norma Cantu

Norma Cantu currently serves as Program Manager of Pharmaceuticals and Bioengineering at Southwest Research Institute where she provides strategic development and management of chemical and biological defense programs.  She has extensive experience in developing antidote programs from discovery through IND with emphasis in manufacturing, preclinical, and regulatory. Norma has successfully managed multiple government funded programs and continues to respond to gaps in defense and public health preparedness.  Norma earned her Master’s degree in Management of Technology from the University of Texas San Antonio and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Texas Pan American.
