The Naval Energetic Systems and Technologies (NEST), in partnership with the National Armaments Consortium (NAC), is a national collaboration supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) to address the most significant energetics and explosive ordnance disposal challenges facing the Navy, the Marine Corps, Department of Defense, and the Nation.
The NEST seeks to bring state-of-the-art technologies to bear in support of enhanced warfighter capabilities for the entire Department of Defense in multiple environments
The partner organizations will foster a collaboration among the Government engineers, researchers, and technologists and NAC’s 900+ members from industry and academia.
The NEST enables rapid research, access to innovative commercial solutions for defense requirements, and innovations from industry, academia and non-traditionals.
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) in partnership with the NAC has established the Naval Energetic Systems and Technologies (NEST) OTA. NAC members will have access to opportunities focused on rapid development and research of energetics and explosive ordnance disposal technologies to provide state-of-the-art capabilities to our warfighters.
WHO CAN JOIN
Companies that are part of the U.S. Defense Industrial Base as well as new and emerging non-traditional defense contractors are encouraged to join the NAC and participate in federally-funded R&D projects.
